PELOTON’S COFOUNDER BIKES AWAY: Peloton cofounder and CEO John Foley is officially pedaling away from Peloton. Last Friday, Foley stepped down as executive chair alongside his co-founder and Chief Legal Officer Hisao Kushi. Peloton has been experiencing a lot of changes. In Feb, 2022, the company laid off 2,800 people and earlier this month it started selling on Amazon.

LIVE SHOPPING FOR FOOD: CPG brands consider having this on your radar. Flavr, a platform that combines food x content x commerce raised $7M from investors including A16z. Flavr has also integrated with Instacart so viewers can watch cooking videos & then order the ingredients directly to their doorstep. If you’ve used the app, let us know your thoughts!

WTF ARE YOU SAYING? Startup & VC jargon is its own language. Thankfully, dmg ventures made this helpful guide that breaks down all those wonky acronyms and abbreviations. One observation, take away the cool startup office and kombucha on tap and these terms can mean something entirely different - like DD. Startup office DD = due diligence. PATAGONIA PLAYBOOK: Patagonia founder (and humble billionaire) Yvon Chouinard) isn’t going public. According to its Twitter, Patagonia is going “Purpose,” meaning the money Patagonia makes after reinvesting in its business will be distributed to Holdfast Collective, a non-profit, and the Patagonia Purpose Trust. This trust will be overseen by members of Chouinard’s family and closest advisers; the trust will also be in charge of approving key company decisions, including appointments to the board of directors and changes to the company’s legal charter. Congrats to Cherene Aubert, the Director of Growth at Bobbie, for launching an incredible OOH campaign! This campaign is the first billboard to ever show a parent combo feeding (breastfeeding and bottle feeding). The billboard features supermodel and Bobbie board member Ashley Graham. What’s another incredible thing about this campaign? Bobbie isn’t trying to get sales from it at all. Actually, they can’t even take new customers. Why? Due to the baby formula shortage, Bobbie made the tough decision to not accept new subscribers. This campaign is purely to raise awareness of a significant, cultural conversation, and the different ways parents choose to feed their babies. There isn’t a “one size fits all” approach.
